A great social activist and philanthropist Late Kallatra Abdul Khader Haji was very generous in donating 60 cents of land situated near Kanhangad Railway Station for Constructing a building for the Yatheemkhana and the Yatheemkhana was permanantly shifted to the new building. When the inmates was increased, the existing building was not sufficient enough to accommodate all the boys comfortably, a new two storeyed building was constructed and on 10th March 1984, Janab.Ibrahim Sulaiman Sait  then M.P. inaugurated the new orphanage building.
