The renowned Kanhangad Muslim Yatheemkhana (
Orphanage), situated in Northern part of Kerala, established in 1973 was formally
inaugurated by Late.C.Ahmed Kunhi Musliar, then Khazi, Chembarikka, on 14th April 1973. It
was started with 14 boys who were orphans and destitutes. A great social activist and philanthropist Late Kallatra Abdul Khader Haji was very generous in donating 60 cents of land situated near Kanhangad Railway Station for Constructing a building for the Yatheemkhana and the Yatheemkhana was permanently shifted to the new building |
